Russell L. Scherrer

Underwriting Manager

In his current role as Underwriting Manager for Ridge Capital Group, Russell Scherrer is primarily responsible for the financial risk assessment of prospective premium finance loan transactions and the development and maintenance of control procedures within the underwriting department. Mr. Scherrer’s additional responsibilities include oversight of the servicing and maintenance of completed loan transactions; calculation and tracking of commission and loan interest income; acting as a liaison between the firm and its institutional financing partners on risk assessment issues; and acting as a consultant to the firm’s product development committee.

Russell Scherrer has worked for Ridge Capital Group since its inception and has experience in several key areas including staff accounting, broker relationship management and asset and loan valuation analysis.

Previously, Mr. Scherrer worked in the collective trust/asset management division of Mellon Financial Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA where he served as a supervising fund analyst performing daily and monthly valuations of collective trust funds.

Mr. Scherrer has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and resides in San Diego, CA with his wife and three daughters.
